Did you know that your fryer could become your gas station ?
Tim, the founder of Naga Earth, has figured it out ! This social enterprise collects used frying oils from the city and transforms them into biodiesel and soap.
On his advice, Guénolé and Valentin have launched production trials. It will soon be used to turn the propellers of the Nomade des mers and to wash the crew !
Low-tech innovation among Cambodian engineers #
In Phnom Penh, the crew also met with Mélanie Mossard, from Impact Hub Phnom Penh, an incubator for social and environmental projects. We took the opportunity to talk low-tech with the students of ITC, the first engineering school of the country, and at the Liger Leadership Academy Foundation, an incredible school training Cambodian children to become future “leaders” committed to Cambodia. We were blown away by their level of knowledge of low-tech ! A great breath of positive energy for the future !
